Iraqi Militants Use Skygrabber to Nail Down US Drones

Militants in Iraq are these days using a software called skygrabber to track the drones as per a report by Wall Street Journal.

According to a senior intelligence defense personnel, a group called Shiite insurgents were able to nail down drones by using this very cheap piece of software that is available for just $25.95. The US military got aware of this fact when they captured a militant and found feeds of drone intercepted in his laptop.

Some also fear that this has become a regular practice and the technique used in Iraq can be repeated in other parts of the world as well where drones operate. This computer software called skygrabber exploits the un-interrupted link between drone and the control room.

According to a skygrabber review, it is a software used to intercept data from the satellites like movies, pictures and sound files. But this kind of use is quite shocking to the military. Although, it is claimed that the government of the Unites States knew about this vulnerability but assumed that the enemy will not able to take advantage.

Even the developers of the Russian Company that makes this software were aware of this kind of use of the software. But, now people all around the web are conscious about this fact and ready to download skygrabber for their personal fun.
