OVI maps can offer turn-by-turn navigation in 46 different worldwide languages, across 74 countries, traffic information in about ten different countires and a detailed map for about eighty countires. Nokia aims to make the GPS navigation a must and a common feature of today’s wireless domain.

At the launch, Nokia supports about 10 smartphones which will provide the free premium services. These include : Nokia 5800 XM, Nokia X6, Nokia N97 Mini, Nokia E72. Nokia will provide this support to other S60 3rd Edition FP2 , 5th Edition and Maemo phones in future.

American Idol Season 9 Begins

The much awaited Ninth season of American Idol is ready to rock your television sets Tuesday on Fox. Judges will be Simon Cowell, Kara DioGuardi and Randy Jackson.

The big news is that the place of Paula Abdul will be permanently replaced by Ellen DeGeneres. The format of the show will be the same as was in the 4^th to the 7^th season – the top 24 semi finals! News is that this will be the last judging season for Simon Cowell’s on American Idol.

Each week each episode, Jon Caramanica will be asking 9 questions. Make a quick note on that the timings have been shifted from 8 p.m to 9 p.m. This is done by Fox to trick the viewers so that they also can catch the new shows on Fox while they are waiting for American Idol.

The schedule of American Idol is that in the first 3 weeks of fun auditions, the guest judges will be Mary J. Blige, Neil Patrick Harris, Victoria Beckham, Katy Perry, Kristin Chenoweth, Shania Twain and Avril Lavigne.

The Detroit Auto Show 2010 – Ford Set to Launch Global Focus

The 2010 Detroit auto show also known as the North American International Auto show starts today on 11th Jan and will be going on till 24th Jan. After a lackluster poor year in 2009 the Auto Industry is hoping to revive itself this year. This year the smaller, energy efficient green cars are seen as the cars of the future and most of the auto makers are emphasizing on producing such cars.

Many big car makers like Toyota, Ford, GM, Mercedes, Honda will be showcasing their concept cars in the event to get a review before producing them in the coming few years. After the repercussions of the last year many big auto makers will not be able to participate this year. It is estimated that there will be around 20% less participation this year in the Detroit Auto show this year. Ford has made one of the biggest come back from bad times. It revealed some pictures and information about the car called Ford Global Focus which it is going to launch tonight.

Casey Johnson has passes away

Casey Johnson, the great-great granddaughter of Robert Wood Johnson, co-founder of Johnson & Johnson passed away at the age of thirty.

The cause of death is not yet known.

"Everyone please pray 4 my Wifey Casey Johnson. She has passed away. Thank u for all ur love and support but I will be offline to be w family," Tila Tequila Tweeted today.

In 2007, Casey has adopted a 3 year old girl from Kazakhstan.

Johnson & Johnson heiress Casey Johnson and Tila Tequila were engaged in December this year and within days of this happy news Johnson is reported dead.

World's Tallest Building - Burj Dubai

Finally we have a new tallest building of the world called the Burg Dubai. It was inaugurated with a royal display of water, sound, light and fireworks.

Burj Dubai, is about 160 storey high and one of the tallest structure ever created by man kind i.e. about 2,625 feet (800 mtrs).

According to Christian Koch, Director of International Studies at the Gulf Research Center "This is not just a building that's a little bit bigger than other buildings. It's much bigger. Everybody will know about it. This is certainly going to represent the status of Dubai and the Arab Gulf as a whole for many years."

The world’s tallest building will definitely help Dubai to become a global hub from just being the regional hub of United Arab Emirates. It is a symbol of success. In midst of the current financial crisis and all the negative energy flowing in and around Dubai it symbolizes the realization of dreams and aspirations.

It is the pinnacle of the Dubai’s decade long boom in the construction and reality sector. The event was watched by the delegates from Britain, France, US and many other countries of the world as well as the ruled of Dubai Muhammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum.

Winter Solstice - Today is the shortest day of 2009

Every one of us is busy with out Christmas shopping with just few days left. Today is officially the Winter Solstice 2009. In some parts of the country snow has already hit record levels but winter starts officially today in the noon EST. Most of the people do not need the official announcement of the Winter Solstice 2009 as they already are in midst of all the snow. With the 1st day of winter it is also the shortest day of year 2009.

This is how the sunrise looked today. People who did not get a chance to see the sun today will especially enjoy these moments today.

Since these days it is not politically celebrate to celebrate Christmas in our public schools Winter Solstice is a rather safe option. So, get ready and put your nice apparel and come out to celebrate the shortest day of the year.

Pathologists from Israel Harvested Organs from Palestinians

In a shocking story it was revealed that pathologists from Israel harvested organs from Palestinian dead bodies. Neither the families of the dead were asked for any consent nor did they have any idea about this. This practice was continued till nineties was emerged this weekend.

This story came out when the former head of Israel’s forensic institute admitted the fact. It caused a lot of anger in the Muslim and Arab world. A television documentary was aired on the Iran’s national television showing photographs of the injured and the dead.

A Swedish newspaper took the story very seriously pointed out few more things. Although, there are no evidences of this but it claimed that when the young bodies of the dead were returned they had missing organs.

Israel urged Sweden to condemn this article but Stockholm refused to do so by saying that, this would infringe into the right of the freedom of speech.
